About Me
I work with individuals struggling with life transitions, or those feeling stuck and wanting to create positive change in their lives. Some of my clinical areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, relationships concerns, career matters, and general life adjustments. Together we will explore your challenges, identify goals, and work toward your desired change. To do this, we look closely at your personal history alongside your current concerns, working toward cultivating deeper self-awareness and increased emotional freedom.
I believe that growth and healing occur by gaining insight into our thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns - all while seeking opportunities to view or respond in healthier ways. I use a number of therapeutic approaches, leaning heavily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices.
Having personally benefited from therapy, I know how important it is to feel understood by - and to "click" with your therapist; it is a uniquely intimate relationship! Beyond my profession, I am a musician, a nature lover, a podcast buff, and a mom. I bring plenty of good old-fashioned life experience to my work, and approach therapy with authenticity, warmth and openness.
